Toro Energy Limited is a significant ASX-listed Australian uranium explorer and project developer with a growth strategy set to deliver sustainable uranium production by early 2013, initially from the Company’s flagship Wiluna Project in Western Australia.  In addition, Toro Energy has other significant uranium assets throughout Western Australia, the Northern Territory, South Australia and in the African state of Namibia.

Toro Energy is an aggressive project and company builder and at any given time:

-    has a substantial exploration program underway (A$4.5 million, 25,000 metres scheduled in
     Calendar 2010);
-    has a number of prospective value-add uranium assets under consideration in
     Australia and overseas; and
-    has sufficient cash contingency for 3-5 years of forward activity.

Our near-term focus is on developing new uranium production hubs within politically favourable jurisdictions, particularly in Western Australia where the Company is fully funded through to completion of all major studies leading to a decision to mine at Wiluna. 

This project comprises two shallow (less than 8m deep) calcrete uranium deposits.  Lake Way and nearby and to the southeast, Centipede, in total hosting a Measured, Indicated and Inferred resource of 11,072t (24.4mlbs) of contained U₃O₈.  An alkaline heap leach operation is the preferred processing method.  A Government-approved resource evaluation test pit is currently being developed as a major contributor to Wiluna's ongoing Bankable Feasibility Study.  A 10-year mine life at the rate of around 700 tonnes of uranium oxide per annum is envisaged for Wiluna although nearby regional exploration and asset acquisition could extend this. 

The Board and Management of Toro Energy have extensive experience in major mining houses, successful exploration companies and discoveries, significant uranium mine operations and uranium marketing experience, and key experience in building strong community and indigenous working relationships.
